  2. OSM.org leads web makers by a good example. A general transition to WebGL Earth on websites is unlikely without a globally hosted 3d tile set despite its similarity to Leaflet.

In order to push the status quo of open-source web maps, I recommend that this service hosts a replacement to OSM.org, which would include:
    * 2d tiles - vector tiles by default to embrace open-source vision
    * 3d tiles - features from OSM2Cesium & terrain from elevation tags
    * editor - iD Editor hosted additionally on webglearth.org
    * history - viewing heatmap of edits in 3d and list of changesets…

  4. I cannot find how to get coordinates of a polygon vertices after editing it. There might be new vertices added and some of them might be dragged to another position, in this case how can we log the new vertice coordinates (as log and lat)?

  5. when animating the globe with panTo(...) it would be great that the visible tiles at destination and during the flyover are preloaded so to prevent them to appear blurry while flying.

  8. Possibility to load and unload different tile layers from the 3D-Globe, e.g. myCustomTileLayer.removeFrom(earth). Now it is just possible to add(!) new custom tile layers and not to remove any.

  13. At the momet WebGL model have an annoying hole ath the top and bottom and also a stripe without a texture.

I suppose, it would be nice to use some generic texture for this problem places

  15. Google Maps street view already supports WebGL including 45 degrees view, 3d view, terrain, etc. as an opt. in feature. I would like to be able to see street view and Google maps when using pull down list options. Also, see what you can do with Google Earth.

  17. Hello
I meet such a problem. My tiles projection is not different from regular,
which I mean for example WebGLEarth tiles matrix is square(such as 4x4,8x8
etc), but our projection is different as the tiles matrix is rectangle
    (such as 4x2,8x4 etc).
our Y axis is half smaller than the regular Y axis.
who can help you about this problem?thank you very much

  18. You could try using a scalable mask to avoid people to see the polygons in full view.
I probably have a workaround for the pole polygons i don't see right now.

i made a similar work under flash with no zoom, for a site about mars terraformation
and if you want ask me for ideas and code
    i'll be glad to participate

  20. just curious if you've considered the Skyline Software patent for sending 3D data over the internet, and how that might affect the downloading of terrain data into WebGL Earth
